Traditional style post and rail fencing

Post and rail fencing is an attractive and traditional style of fencing that has been a staple view in the rural communities of the English countryside. It would make a beautiful addition to your home as well as your field, garden or paddock and is also great to fix boundary limits and restrict pedestrian access.

Our locally harvested Chestnut is traditionally cleaved, making beautiful and practical post and rail country style fencing. Sussex Timber Co’s post and rail Chestnut fencing is environmentally friendly because the wood is coppiced which means it is cut to ground level in such a way that stimulates re-growth from the coppiced stump in the woodland.
